In our recycling center in Birsfelden, all waste is sorted professionally and sent to the end user as secondary raw materials. The plant is certified and subject to strict legal regulations and controls.
Jost Transport AG is the leading wood recycling company in northwestern Switzerland. The wood that has already been used is separated into categories and processed into chips and chippings using a shredder and screening technology.
Chips and shavings from shredded recycled wood are fed into the recycling cycle. In the material recycling process, pressboard is made from the chips. Chips continue to be used as energy wood in regional wood-fired power plants.
Our transport and logistics concept includes our own fleet of state-of-the-art vehicles and all the necessary transport containers. With this infrastructure it is possible to serve our customers and recyclers in a timely and sustainable manner.
Mixed waste from troughs is separated by machine and by hand. The recyclable materials such as wood, cardboard, paper, electrical scrap, plastics, inert materials, metals, etc. are fed into further material recycling. This ensures that the raw materials can continue to be used in the economic cycle.
The secondary raw materials are delivered directly from our location in Birsfelden to the final recycler. By utilising the maximum transport capacities, CO² emissions are minimised and road transport is reduced.
